Melissa is a graduate of Loyola University and received a Juris Doctorate Degree, cum laude, from Hofstra University School of Law.  While in law school, Melissa was a member of the Journal of International Business and Law, Hofstra Trial Advocacy Association, and the Moot Court Board. She was a Regional Champion and recipient of the Best Brief Award and Best Oral Advocate Award at the 2011 National Moot Court Competition. Prior to joining MLN, Melissa was a litigation associate at a prominent defense firm where she managed her own case load from cradle to grave, including appeals, in multiple areas of practice. 

Melissa is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association and is fluent in Spanish.  She is admitted to practice before the Courts of the States of New York and New Jersey, and before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
